24th August - Jalgava

Yesterday saw us take an hour train ride outside of Riga to the city of Jalgava. According to the guide book it was meant to be one of the most beautiful cities in Latvia prior to the war, what actually met us was a low lying and clean city, although we were on the outskirts. The venue for the evening was Melno Cepurisu Balerija, a bar serving awesome coffee and vegetarian burgers, and populated seemingly by Metallers. Our only worry was the show starting at 11pm, we needed to get the 8am train back to Riga in order to pick up the bus to Tallinn at the correct time. We judged that we'd get 6 hours sleep after the show and that seemed fine, what we didn't figure in was some lovely beer and being filmed as part of a hip-hop video shoot after our gig. More of that to follow later once we get sent the link to the completed film. In the end, we made our way back to the hostel with enough time for 1 hour and 40 minutes of snoozing which was followed by a dash to the railway station the next morning.
