Leigh Folk Festival June 2011

These are the photos from the Leigh Folk Festival where we played on the Rif Mountain stage in the Clarendon Scout Hut HQ on a wet and squally Saturday evening. Despite the weather the venue was packed with an attentive audience. We played mid-bill with the Honeygales singing three piece a-capella folk and blues numbers before us. Afterwards came three floor spots by Corncrow, Men Diamler and an ex-member of the Unthanks with a friend the name of whoms act I can't recall currently. Then it was the turn of the amazing Nancy Wallace and finally the Owl Service who finished their set with the Fairport Convention track  'On the Ledge' which prompted an audience sing-along (one of many that evening). A big thanks to the organisers for allowing us to play, we had a great time despite getting soaked on the way there, the hot chocolate was gratefully received.
