There is a new release blossoming from the fields of Jozik, a label based in Helsinki. It will be a split cassette with Waterflower, a young Latvian mixed-media artist who I have played with under the guise of Wildersea in the past (and future). This is her first physical release and definitely not her last. Keep your eyes peeled for a release date, it will be around March time.
The Lost Harbours side of the cassette was inspired by a short hike in the wilds of Latvia along the banks of Engure Ezers, a lagoon close to the Gulf of Riga coastline. This movement through natures fed a plethora of new material which was built from processed field recordings and found sounds, acoustic drones, vocalisations and sparse guitar. Here is an excerpt:
