And so we returned to London, to play a show for the lovely band Marbles Jackson who saw us supporting Neil's Children and asked us to play their night Room 237 at the Dalston Victoria. I (Emma) spent some time checking out the bits of the V+A we had not reached on our previous team visit. They were doing a bit of spring cleaning.
Marbles Jackson showed some short films and then launched into their set. It was a soft, dreamy sort of sound with a strong 60's pop backbone, but many of the songs built slowly into epic pieces of emotional instrumentation. It is rare to hear a band who bring something fresh to the arena, but they did.
Naoko kindly took this photo of us.
